About Us

Gridley Fires Books is not a vanity publisher. We only accept the few works that truly move us. (At present, however, we’re committed until 2020.) For the works we do accept we can develop eye-catching, professionally done covers, excellent manuscript layout and, if appropriate, line drawings to illustrate key text segments. Any manuscript we accept will be put through an exacting evaluation. We will work with you and involve you every step of the way. We will provide you with an honest and gently felt evaluation and whether your manuscript seems a fit for us.   Once accepted and under contract, our editorial process will be implemented by professional editors, simply to amplify and improve on your vision, language, and text.

Authors Interviewing Authors!

I’m really excited to have taken part in Atmosphere Press’s inaugural episode of Authors Interviewing Authors with Paul Edmondson of Waterford Ireland. We talked about Paul’s book, Great Spirit of Yosemite – The Story of Chief Tenaya, and my recent publication, Gerbert’s Book. the YouTube Link follows: https://youtu.be/fWyPiHKZmjw

In September of the year, we will launch Volume Three of our Universal Geometry of Mind series, the keystone to this work. It will present this Geometry in both text and diagrams. In order to make this case it defines thought and connects this Geometry to human meaning. A fourth volume, the final in the series, will follow.

January 24, 2020 – – Introducing!!    The next in our Geometry of Universal Mind series. Volume Two, the second of four volumes concerning the author’s ground-breaking insights on Geometry, Mind, and Meaning, complete with diagrams. This volume concerns different aspects of modern science that will bear on this geometry, which will be presented in a more complete form in Volume Three.                                                                                                   and…                                                                                                                                                             Gerbert’s Book, a biographical novel about the French Benedictine monk, Gerbert, who, in the years just prior to 1000 AD, brought the best of Islamic culture, including Arabic numerals, to the west. Gerbert eventually became Pope Sylvester II and, with Otto III, ruled Christendom during tumultuous years following the first millennium.

A novella – Communication between people is difficult in the modern age, despite devices meant to make it simpler. Angie and Warren have issues because of it, and so does their neighborhood and community. Couple that with COVID-19 and an errant policeman, and their lives and hometown of Asheville is turned upside down.

An Affiliate Book, by Paul Edmondson!

Paul Edmondson’s fictionalized story of the Ahwahnee Tribe of Yosemite and its war against the white world as gold miners flooded California in the mid-1800’s. A fascinating book and piece of history!

THE GEOMETRY OF UNIVERSAL MIND – VOLUME 3

The third of four volumes that makes the case for the transition from Pure Consciousness to a Universal Mind that is Geometrically constructed and which is the basis for all material in the Universe. It establishes this concept by developing a definition of thought, and it continues by drawing parallels between the nature of this Universal Field state’s Geometry and human meaning.

GERBERT’S BOOK

A fictionalized account of the life of Gerbert, a French Benedictine monk who became the first French Pope, Sylvester, II, and came to eventually co-rule the Holy Roman Empire with Otto III. Gerbert has written a life-long diary, and his former Archbishop, Arnulf, fears it getting into the hands of the current Pope, Benedict VIII. Gerbert/Sylvester’s friend Zosimus has been ordered by Benedict to copy and add to Gerbert’s diary, but the project entails great intrigue, as well as certain danger for Zosimus.

THE GEOMETRY OF UNIVERSAL MIND – VOLUME 2

The second of four volumes concerning the author’s ground-breaking insights on Geometry, Mind, and Meaning, complete with diagrams. This volume concerns different aspects of modern science that will bear on this geometry, which will be presented in a more complete form in Volume Three.

The sciences concerned are Chaos Theory, Relativity, Quantum Theory, Holography, and others. The book takes from these sciences only what the author sees as applying to the Geometry of Universal Mind. And all things written here are brought back to the significance of meaning in modern life.

BECOMING AND BEING A WRITER

REMEMBERING THE WORLD – Place Found Poems,  by Bob Mustin

This is no garden variety travelogue in poetic form, nor an essay on human limitations and promise. In this collection, the poet digs deeply into human nature, surfacing with anger, beauty, harshness, and humor.

INDIANA GIRL, by Jane Mary Curran

A collection of poems about growing up on an Indiana farm. There is history here. Lineage. Whispers of Frost lie buried in these poems, and Dickey’s bold voice as well.

THE GEOMETRY OF UNIVERSAL MIND, by bob Mustin

This volume recapitulates much of the symbology of Geometric shapes from prehistory through Plato’s five primary Geometric forms. This work also begins the author’s development of groundbreaking work expanding Plato’s belief that Geometry underpins the Universe in its entirety.
